Trey Songz at Summer Jam!! Now, I cant sit here and bash him at all because he's been doing his thing in the game while others are resting and/or no where to be found, and therefore I have respect for him. He has most definitely came far from where he started from. He is one of the most paid artists to perform and has done so in multiple places, and has sold out tickets time and time again. What he doesn't seen to realize though is that not all of those who buy tickets for his performances are of age.
The sexuality of his music and performances are mainly for the mature and adult audience, but these days, everyone has access to just about anything, leading to minors having access to his music and even his shows. As you can see in the picture above, he is interacting with a female audience member in a very sexual, some may even say explicit, manner, ending in a nice little make-out session. What he failed to realize was that the only proof of identification this young lady had was probably no more than a freshly printed High School ID card.
This young lady, as shown here, was the one he kissed on stage during his performance. She is apparently 15 years old, or as she seems to state it "The Baddest 15Yr. Old You Know." The way things are today, kids at the age of 14 could look about 16 or even 17 year old. The way they carry themselves sexually could easily fool a much older guy if he is not careful. Just look at the picture. She does not look 15 years old. I would give her at least 18. She looks older than some of the girls that attend my school. Mind you, I attend a college. So it is understandable that he could get her confused with an older female and pulled her up onto the stage.
My thing it, he should be aware that his audience consists of both adults and minors, so just about anything could happen to compromise his image if he is not careful. The smartest thing he could do is have a female performer or at least a female of age staged in the crowd in disguise as an audience member, this way avoiding having another moment such as this. Better safe than sorry, although she probably enjoyed it too much to be sorry. And also, girls these days are rushing to grow up, physically and sexually, and the way society is changing now is not even slowing down the process but rather fueling it.
Kids channels like "Nickelodeon" and "Cartoon Network" are now airing shows that show teenage interactions and even advertise the boyfriend girlfriend scene. There are kissing scenes in just about every channel. Kids don't even get to experience the "Koodies" stage of life. Virginities are being lost at ages as young as even 13. They do not seem to understand what they are rushing themselves into, and by the time they realize it, it's going to be too late. It just hurts me to see how the world is changing and even scares me to think of how it will end up, and to know that my future children will be living in this world.
